Jason’s Fashion Overhaul – Summer ‘07
Jason’s Fashion Overhaul – Summer ‘07
Dear Friends and Family,
I would like to unveil my new iniative for Summer 2007.
A few weeks ago Andrea, my boss wasn’t in the office and thus I had some free time! So, like a good WAMU employee, I decided to do a little window shopping online to look at styles for the NEW AND IMPROVED Jason Cunningham for 2007!
After consulting several websites I’ve decided that the NEW Jason should feature a tasteful blend of my current wardrobe used in fresh ways, and up-to-date American Eagle clothing. I find that I really like American Eagle, and want to adopt their general style. Also, I am hereby banishing ALL Chaps products (except what I already have) because they conflict with my NEW desired image and are generally made for middle-aged golfers (a persona I’m trying to be rid of).
As my dear friends, you know better than most people how the way I dress reflects on you. So I want your advice this summer in transforming me from a dorky dweeb who has little relevance with anyone (except ladies 40+) into someone who blends in with a cooler crowd. I realize this may be impossible – but I want to at least look the part.
Potential purchases include the following:
1) Jeans (GASP! This one I need to do in person because, if its a bad experience, I might slip back into khaki.)
2) Those Leather flip-flop things at AE.
3) An AE Rugby shirt or two. (I’ve seen a couple nice ones on their website.)
4) Hoodie (in addition to the AU one I’ve yet to buy)
5) A few Graphic T’s
6) then “Shirts” (thats how they list them, cotton long-sleeved shirts whose sleeves can be rolled up, and a sweater worn over them, with the collar left loose over the neck of the sweater, and shirt tails hanging out, untucked. I like many of the shirts at J. Crew, but I think I’d rather die than spend that much money.)
I’m looking forward to your input and together, we’ll turn this eyesore, into something less… sore.

Tyler and Elia Fogarty Engaged
It seems at times that the whole world is getting married. I better get on the ball here soon, shouldn’t I?
But thats beside the point. I will defer to (and plagarize) Mrs. Fogary’s (Sharon’s) eloquent words and imagery:
“A bid deal happened last night here at the Fogarty home.
Tyler asked Elea Sara Cook to be his wife last night on top of a little knoll overlooking Codorus Lake Marburg, as the chilly wind tried to interrupt a very sweet proposal. Tyler had prayed about how he would ask her to marry him and came up with quite a unique plan. He had an Apple Nano I-Pod inscribed on the back with the words “Elea Sara Cook… will you marry me?” After giving her a dozen long stemmed red roses, he showed her the gift of the I-pod. She was thrilled and thought the gift was over the top. As she started to put it back into the box Tyler told her that some I-pod’s are inscribed on the back when you order them online. She turned the I-pod over and as she read the words she became wordless and stood in shock. Before she could say anything Tyler then got down on one knee, asked her if she would be his wife, and gave her a ring that belonged to his great-grand-mother Mary Ridgley Kraft.
Later, the happy couple came home where we had waited dinner, and Evan made a toast of sparkling cider and wished them a happy and joyous life together.
All the brothers gave them their blessings and the evening melted away into a bowl of cookies and cream ice-cream and the wee hours of 10 o’clock.”
Patience update!
Patience update!
According to new statistics released from the Department of Official Bureau Statistics (DOBS) from Cunningham’s office, Cunningham is currently well into a dramatic increase in his patience with his floormates.
This is good news for those who were concerned that Cunningham wouldn’t recover from a recent Social or “Diplomatic” crisis that left much of floor society in shambles.
While Cunningham’s patience level has little bearing on the true state of affairs within the Hughes building, it does reflect an important trend among the residents here in the last 3 weeks of the 2006-07 term – that trend is an increased desire to get along with others, despite how they may persecute slander you for your views.
Indeed, recent studies indicate that most residents are eager for the new term to begin and look forward to it.
Updates as events warrant.
Meiselman’s visit to Maryland “inmeasurable success”
Meiselman’s visit to Maryland “inmeasurable success”
HUGHES HALL, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sources close to Speaker Meiselman said today that his recent visit to Maryland, and the home of Representative Cunningham was “an unmeasurable success”. Sources from both party’s offices said that while the visit was purely a social one to celebrate the Easter Holiday, it provided a valuable opportunity to cement a longstanding friendship between the two leaders.
Activities during the holiday weekend were said to include a victorious round of Age of Empires III and a 5 episode marathon of The West Wing.
While speculators had long touted the visit as an important opportunity for the two leaders to discuss business of an important a highly sensitive nature, both offices firmly denied any serious work actually took place. “It was purely a social visit, and the weekend had little influence on current events.” an aid to Cunningham said. “furthurmore, Mr. Cunningham said to mention that he doesn’t like the label ‘Evangelical’ applied to him or his religious views. He doesn’t believe it accurately represents his views or perspectives – though what this has to do with the visit this weekend, I have no idea.”
This weekend’s break is the last break before the end of the term in May.
End of the Buick LeSabre…
End of the Buick LeSabre…
Well Friends, I’m sorry to report that GM has officially discontinued the Buick LeSabre. After being the #1 best selling sedan for more than 12 consecutive years, the automanufacturers finally did the grand lady in.

Above, The First LeSabre demonstration car ca. 1950.

above, a 1960 Buick LeSabre.

Above, almost my first car, this is a 1990 Buick LeSabre, mine was a 1989.

Above, my official car, a 1996 Buick LeSabre.

Above, The last of the line, a 2005 Buick LeSabre.
(yeah, I’m a little behind, the last year was 2005)
If I find I need to switch to a new brand of car, (I don’t like many of the new Buick models out there) what would I choose? How about a Maybach?

I always wanted a 40-door Convertable!
Until next time!
